Nottingham Double Glazing

Double Glazing Across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

Free, no-obligation window, door and conservatory quotes across Nottingham and the surrounding area.

Each of the 24 places below has its own page, because a sash in a Victorian villa and a casement on a post-war estate are different jobs. Enquiries from any of them go to an independent installer working in that area. They're grouped here by the council that covers them, since the council is who you'd ask about planning.

Nottingham City

Nottingham City has 33 conservation areas. The Park Estate has been one since 1969, and the Lace Market is another, where most homes are flats or converted warehouses, so the rules for flats apply. Sherwood's terraces and villas followed the electric tram in 1901. Wollaton has two conservation areas, Wollaton Village and Wollaton Park. Bulwell has its own, and the city's guidance names Bulwell Stone as a local material. Clifton is a post-war estate of over 6,000 homes, with Clifton Village as its conservation area, and Basford has Basford Hall. Mapperley is split between Nottingham City Council and Gedling Borough Council, so check which council covers your street. It isn't the same place as Mapperley Park.

Rushcliffe

Plots in West Bridgford were first offered for housing in 1880. Ruddington is Nottinghamshire's largest frame knitters' village south of the Trent. Bingham's conservation area dates from 1970, and Keyworth's from 1999, extended in 2025. Radcliffe on Trent has none.

Gedling

Calverton has more surviving framework knitters' cottages than anywhere else in the county, many with wide windows built to let in light. Gedling Village became a conservation area in 2025. Arnold, Carlton and Burton Joyce have no conservation area.

Broxtowe

Beeston's West End, designated in 1976, was the town's first conservation area. Stapleford has two, on Church Street and Nottingham Road. Eastwood, D.H. Lawrence's birthplace, has 19th-century workers' terraces around "The Squares".

Long Eaton's 1880s lace factories have "large multi paned cast iron framed windows", and the town has three conservation areas. Ilkeston grew on hosiery, lace and mining.

Just Outside the List?

If you're between two of these places or a little beyond one, send the enquiry anyway and we'll tell you whether an installer covers it.

Tell us about the job once, and a single local installer will be in touch to survey and price it.

Nottingham Double Glazing passes enquiries to independent local window and door installers, and each installer surveys and prices the job itself. Nothing is made, sold or fitted by us, and we don't check or approve any installer. How we are paid.
